Volunteering with Wrench Nepal

Wrench Nepal can accommodate volunteers with mechanical experience who are in Nepal for varying lengths of time. Most encouraged are volunteers who wish to be Coordinating Mechanics--volunteers for fixed terms of 5 to 10 months (as determined by visa considerations).
 

Volunteers are expected to get to Kathmandu by their own means, and have one or more of the following skills:

• Bicycle repair
• Welding and power tool use 
• Mechanical creativity 
• Social work or other experience with marginalized communities
  
• Teaching experience, formal or informal 

 Volunteers should also have these general qualifications:

• Ability to work  under stressful, extreme conditions, with minimal resources
• Good health
• A healthy sense of humor
• Desire to learn
